Mecalac 3T Swivel Dumper Hire
Proper 3-tonne site dumper with 180° swivel skip.
The Mecalac 3-tonne swivel dumper — 3,000 kg payload, 180-degree rotating skip, and 4-wheel drive. The benchmark site dumper for commercial groundworks and serious self-build projects.
The Mecalac 3-tonne swivel dumper is the machine commercial groundworks contractors keep coming back to. Built in Europe, it combines a properly robust 4-wheel drive chassis with a hydraulically rotating skip that turns 180 degrees — so you can discharge exactly where you need without repositioning the whole machine.
At 3 tonnes payload, it moves serious volumes of spoil, aggregate, and concrete between dig site and load-out. The Kubota diesel engine delivers reliable starting and low fuel burn over long working days. Full ROPS/FOPS roll bar and seatbelt — site-compliant out of the box.
This is full commercial kit — the dumper you hire when a 1-tonne Thwaites isn’t moving enough material fast enough.

Questions about this machine
On private land, no legal licence required. For commercial sites, CPCS A09 (Forward Tipping Dumper) is typically needed. For road use, a category F licence is required. We can supply CPCS-ticketed operators.
We handle delivery on our own HGV from our Chatham depot — delivery cost is quoted separately per postcode. The machine is too heavy for most plant trailers.
Yes — that's the point of the swivel skip. Hydraulic rotation turns 90° either side of straight, so you can discharge left, right or forward without repositioning.
