Booking & delivery
How quickly can you deliver?
Most Kent postcodes get same-day or next-day delivery. Medway postcodes are often same-hour. We confirm exact timing within 30 minutes of your request during working hours.
What are your working hours?
Monday–Saturday, 7am–6pm. Out-of-hours deliveries possible for longer hires — ask when booking.
How far do you deliver?
Our standard coverage is Kent — see our areas covered page. For longer hires we sometimes deliver further — call us.
Is delivery included in the price?
No — delivery is quoted separately per postcode, because cost varies with distance and machine size. We always quote it before you commit.
Using the machine
Do I need a licence to operate?
On private land, no licence is legally required for most mini diggers and dumpers under 3.5 tonnes. For commercial sites, CPCS or equivalent tickets are typically required. For 5-tonne+ we strongly recommend CPCS-ticketed operators — we can supply one.
Can I hire with an operator?
Yes — CPCS-trained operators available for our full fleet. Tick “Operator required” on any booking and we’ll add the operator rate to your quote.
What happens if the machine breaks down?
Call us immediately. We’ll troubleshoot over the phone — most issues are quick fixes. If the machine needs replacing, we’ll get a replacement to site within 4 working hours.
Do you provide fuel?
Yes — machines arrive with a full tank. Diesel is widely available at filling stations. You can return empty (refuelling charge applies) or full (no charge).
Cost & insurance
What do rates include?
The machine for the agreed period, standard bucket/attachment, and delivery collection coordination. Delivery cost, fuel for longer hires, and insurance are quoted separately.
Is insurance included?
You need insurance during the hire. Either use your own plant/equipment cover, or we can arrange short-term cover for a small daily premium. See our insurance page.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes — a refundable security deposit is taken before delivery. Returned in full on collection, subject to machine condition.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer, credit/debit card, and account customers. We do not take cash on delivery.
Machines & attachments
Which size digger do I need?
Rule of thumb: garden and tight-access work — micro (sub-1T). Domestic extensions and drainage — 1.5T–3T. Commercial foundations — 5T+. Not sure? Call us and describe the job.
What attachments are available?
Standard bucket included on all diggers. Breakers, augers, grading buckets, narrow trenching buckets, and other attachments available as add-ons. Specify on booking.
Can attachments be added to my hire?
Yes — either at booking (discounted) or during the hire if something comes up. Call us.
